The company is now owned by the California-based software company Symantec and is traded on the NYSE. Leaders formerly from Yahoo and other big-name companies have taken their roles. Both entrepreneurs have moved on to other projects. The company was founded by two businessmen in 2005. LifeLock is primarily focused on identity theft protection. Zander has an an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau and is a BBB-accredited company. Many competitors are more beholden to public shareholders. It dates back to 1925 whereas others emerged in the Digital Age.
